Q1. Can I sell my home on my own while listed with Triangle Flat Fee Listings?
A1. Absolutely. You are welcome to sell your home on your own. If you find a buyer on your own who is not using a real estate agent you are not obligated to pay any commissions.
Q2. How long does it take to list my home on the MLS®?
A2. We can list your home within 24 hours after receipt of your completed listing package.
Q3. Which websites can I find my listing?
A3. Your listings can be found on Realtor.com®, Homes.com, MSN Homes, Yahoo!Real Estate, and many more.
Q4. What is a lockbox service?
A4. A combination lockbox is placed on the property to allow Realtors® to access your home and bring potential buyers.
A5. Yes. Lockboxes have been used by Realtors® for many years. Access to the lockbox combinations are ONLY provided to licensed Realtors® who are members of the Triangle MLS® .
Q6. How are appointments scheduled?
A6. Realtors® or an appointment coordinator will contact the owner(s) to schedule an appointment if the home is occupied. Otherwise, Realtors® can call an appointment coordinator and receive the combination to the lockbox.
Q7. How much is the listing commission?
A7. Zero. We do not charge a listing commission but rather a nominal flat fee.
Q8 . How much does it cost to add a listing to the Triangle MLS® with Triangle Flat Fee Listings?
A8. Our listing service and marketing plan is available from $499.
Q9. Do I have to offer a commission to a buyer's agent if they submit an offer which is accepted?
A9. Yes. In order to have your home listed in the Triangle MLS® you are required to cooperate with a buyer’s agent who procures the sell of your home.
Q10. How much in commissions am I obligated to pay a buyer's agent?
A10. There is not a standard price. However, current market conditions indicate a commission equal to 2.4% to 3% of the sale price of your home.
A11. You are surely welcome to upgrade your listing with a full service real estate agent at any time and cancel your listing agreement. We will gladly refund the listing fee paid to Triangle Flat Fee Listings provided you allow us to refer you to an acceptable Realtor ® . The refund will be paid to you at the successful closing of the transaction.
